The problem

When you need the papers most, they're everywhere

A fall, a hospital visit, a move into care. That's usually the moment a family discovers how scattered everything is.

  • Policies in a drawer

Medicare, a supplement, long-term care, life insurance. Each one in a different folder, if anyone can find it.

  • A medication list nobody trusts

It was right six months ago. Since then two doses changed and a new doctor added something.

  • The same forms, again and again

Every new doctor and every care home asks for the same history, and someone has to write it out by hand.

What Senior.bio does

One profile for your parent, looked after by you

  • One profile

Medications, insurance policies, providers, documents like a power of attorney or advance directive, and emergency details, all together.

  • You're the custodian

A family member creates and keeps the profile up to date. You can add other family members to help.

  • Share with the care home

Give a care home exactly what it needs, for as long as it needs it. Take access back whenever you choose.

  • HIPAA-grade privacy and security

Built for health information from the start. Nobody sees the profile unless you share it, and every view is recorded, so you can see who looked at what, and when.

  • Family access when it matters

Name the family members who should receive the profile when your parent passes. Coming soon

How it works

Three steps

  1. Create the profile

Start at senior.bio and add what you have: medications, insurance, doctors and documents. You can fill in the rest over time.

  2. Add a power of attorney

A power of attorney is required to be a custodian. Senior.bio helps you prepare one and have it notarized online.

  3. Share with the home

When your parent moves into care, share the parts the home needs. Every view is recorded, and you can stop sharing anytime.

Questions

Common questions

Who can be a custodian?

A family member or other trusted person with power of attorney for the senior. If you don't have one yet, Senior.bio helps you prepare it and get it notarized online.

What can I keep in the profile?

Medications, insurance policies (such as Medicare, a supplement, long-term care, life and home), doctors and other providers, documents like a power of attorney or advance directive, and emergency information.

Who can see my parent's information?

Only the people you choose. You can share parts of the profile with a care home for a set time and take that access back whenever you like. Every view is recorded, so you can always see who looked.

Can my parent see their own profile?

Yes. Where your parent is able, they can see their profile and who has access to it.

What happens when a parent passes?

Coming soon: you'll be able to name family members who receive the profile once a death certificate has been verified.

Does Senior.bio give medical or insurance advice?

No. Senior.bio keeps your parent's information organized and lets you share it. Questions about care or coverage belong with their doctors, insurers or agent.
